The extraordinary hides inside the ordinary.
Michael David writes science fiction about the extraordinary hiding inside the ordinary. His debut trilogy, The Last Refuge, follows a night-shift security guard who discovers a crystalline archive holding the memories of a cosmic species that has lived among humans for seventy thousand years — and the cosmic threat now hunting them.
The trilogy — three books, fifty-five chapters, and roughly 228,000 words — was written as a single, unified story about connection, courage, and what it means to be human in a universe that is larger than we imagined.
Michael lives and works in southeastern Pennsylvania. The Last Refuge is his first published work.
